Gladiator Pearl on scorched pattern
« on: March 10, 2010, 02:51:57 AM »
I just got back from lunch and I threw 5 games with my Pearl.  I got to see how strong this ball was with this dry pattern.  It was a house shot but it hasnt been reoiled in couple days.  I kept trying a 22-10ish throw to no avail.  All came back across brooklyn.  I took and stood with my left foot on 30.  Threw across the head arrow out to 10 and came back killing the pocket.  I''m enjoying this ball.  But my next ball is definitely going to be something weak!  I''m starting to go from the tweener revs into a cranker....eeek!  LOL!  Just thought I''d share  I am completely blown away at the quality of this product!

I have mine drilled pretty strong and without enough head oil it doesn''t really work well.  It picks up a roll quickly and burns up on drier heads.

I find it to be definitely sronger than most people give it credit for.

At least for me it handles true mediums in a smooth strong controlling manner.  It''s a great ball though.

For light conditions look into the Ogre SS or Green Gargoyle if you can get one of those.  You will have loads of fun with either of them.

Yeah on league nights with a fresh house shot it rolls so smooth and destroys the pocket.  I really enjoy this ball.  Just wish I would have got it in a 14 so I could get some more speed on it.  Oh well, got it now and it's a light 15 at least

Slap a little polish on the ball and you might see a change in the reaction!!

I have one drilled aggressive that's at 2000 polished I believe and I use it more when the lanes are light oil to dry.  Excels on those conditions!!

Great ball though!!

I love it!  It's funny though, some people call it ugly and some think its a cool looking ball.  Either way when it's thrown people are always like, that thing looks good going down the lane!
