do you guys think the two would have about the same reaction when drilled the same? my specs are in the profile. Just getting ideas HPP is a amazing ball and any ball that replaces it has big shoes to fill.

Mainzer,
That I get a chuckle out of as it's a Visionary ball in sheeps clothing. What core is in the HPP as Banger products do not interest me so I don't know?

i would think the blue gryphon would be closest. since they use the same core and all.

these two balls are nothing alike. the core in the gladiators makes for an early revving controllable type reaction. The hpp is for skid flip similar to the immortal or ogre ss..just not as good at it. What i've seen from the hpp is that it's extremely sensitive and swirly. Remember that big sharp backends might work on the fresh stuff but the consistent reaction of the gladiator pearl will keep you in play longer with less trouble. font6453

On the contrary I have my HPP drilled pin under Bridge and get a very smooth controled reaction NO over reaction at all not jumpy in the least.
Just because a ball is desgined flip doesn't mean it has to and just because a ball is built to nice and easy off the break doesn't mean it has to be nice and easy.
Scotts no offense in my mind Banger is just as good as Storm, Ebonite, or Visionary. Just because they are using Visionary's cores means nothing to me, the ball knocks the pins down it has paid for itself about 5 times over.

That maybe to you but it's still a Visionary ball manufactured in Visionary's plant with a Visionary core and one of the Visionary's pearl coverstocks....so in name it might be a Banger but it's Visionary thru and thru. Check out the engravings Visioanry all the way.
If you want a controlled arcing pearl try an Ogre Pearl.
