Good News...Bad News
« on: January 19, 2009, 12:07:38 PM »
Good news, new personal High series tonight with my trusty Charcoal Executioner.  245-269-245 for a 759 series.  I actually had two opens.  I opened up the 10th frame in the 1st game with s split and I missed a 10-pin in the 3rd game.  So it actually could have been 20 pins higher.

Bad news.  I purchased this ball used with under 5 games on it.  Anyway, I noticed in the 3rd game that the plug work on the fingers is cracking and will need to be fixed.  At least it is fixable.

Careful, Nor Cal, or you're going to be catching up to me soon.

Update.....Dropped it off at the Pro-Shop yesterday.  And YES it is fixable.  Better part is that I should have it back by the end of the week.

As far as the oil goes, I'm bowling at Colerain Bowl in the Cincinnati Suburbs.  It is a fairly dry shot.  I use my B/G Centaur almost as much as the Char Ex.  The EX that I have has a nice polish on it.  Not sure what it is as it was on there when I got it and I've never changed.  So that helps out a bit.
I've shot 750 twice this year, one with each ball.

Thats great to hear! You should probably contact the person you got it from and find out what they had the finish at so you are not fishing for the same finish...
