Got a chance to throw my Orge Solid tonight !
« on: April 03, 2008, 06:40:27 PM »
I tried using the ball Wensday night in league and ended up putting my first 2 balls in the ditch because the thumb wasnt right..

So today I went in the shop and worked it out to prefection !

I took it up to 2000 Abralon and then shined the hell outta it with Black Magic.

Ball is drilled pin over ring and cg pretty much stacked. No X-hole. Stats in profile.

Bowling on left-overs from the mixed league, the ball was very angular off the spot. I could move in and just send it out and it comes booming ball with lots of angle. Lights carried well with lots of mixers !

Very nice going down the lane. Heard a comment, "Looks like a neon Pumpkin !"

So for three games I couldnt complain....232-233-267

Looking forward to bringing it down to 1000 for Monday night league and just play the whole lane Monday

The ogre is a great piece...i have seen this thing work for all styles of players...higher rev guys like you 302...guys who like to play up the boards...and everyone in between

with proper surface adjustments you can make this ball do alot of different things...

I actually like the purple pearl more...it reads the lane so nicely

I am in full agreeance here. While the Ogre is a great piece, the Ogre Pearl is that much better. It is by far, my favorite Ogre. Although, I haven't thrown the SS enough to get a good read on that one.
