Have an Ogre Pearl coming...
« on: June 16, 2008, 04:06:21 AM »
After talking to gsback, seeing him thow the ball and reading the great reviews on this ball, I called Jason and ordered one up for myself.. I have really started liking pearl covers over solids, they just seem to work out the best for me.

I am looking forward to seeing how it compares to my Gladiator Pearl..

My driller combined two polishes and swears that i should love the Break Pearl now, if his experiment works i will nail him down on what he did exactly. He says it is his secret sauce that works for most bowlers, just two common products from different companies.

Same here. I like my Ogre Pearl more each time I take it out of the bag. I also have the Gladiator to go over the Break Pearl.

after throwing my umpteenth 670+ series tonight with this ball i gotta give this topic a bump...

Jim you will not be disappointed with this ball...out of all the balls i have tested, nothing at the same pricepoint reads the midlane and still finishes as strong as the ogre pearl for me...most under rated ball on the market in my eyes!  This thing has gotten me out of so many jams its unreal, always has a spot in my bag

Finally got real good ball reaction from the Break Pearl, it finally drove the way the solid does for me.

Will check with what two polishes and exact grit was used tomorrow, it was like a whole new ball it was on it's final outing if it failed again.

Exactly Britton.  Great ball for many conditions from sport/flatter to THS.

Mine must have 200+ games on it already shows minimal wear but I haven't used it on much old wood. I think I've got to get another one.

Ok Jim here this exact change of surface for anyone interested in the Break Pearl, remember this is for me and not work for you but maybe it will.

He used 500 entire ball slow speed on a spinner.

Followed by polishing the entire ball with Storm Proacta shine

Then followed by polishing the entire ball again with Storm Moon Shine

All I know it is a whole different ball that was going to get sold off but now it stays.

The only other ball right now I am seeing for me that falls into this exact same category is the Violet Gargoyle.

Tuesday, down and in and swing the Gladiator and Ogre Pearl were resulting in some nasry leaves.  I pulled out the VG and threw the same down and in line, but without hand in the ball....finished with 3 strikes and proceeded to shoot 480+ for the next 2 sets without moving at all.
