You can contact Visionary themselves by phone, fax or email and ask them.  Please have more information available such as your PAP, bowling style, lane conditions to be used on, etc.  The more info you have about your style/game, the more they should be able to help you. Click on the below link to get to their site.

Oh, and you are aware that the Immortals have been discontinued?  They can still be found on the internet however.

Here's my take on the Solid Immortal.  Good ball if you can get the right surface on it for the lane condition it's being used on.  Many folks seem to have a  hard time with these types of balls burning up and puking on the back end.....for three reasons.

1.)  Ball surface
2.) Layout
3.)  Inability of user to add axis rotation to get ball down lane and have the PSA migrate a bit more in the roll phase towards pocket.

Once I got all three of these factors correct I'd say I have a good handle on how and when to use the Immortal Solid.   I have mine at 500/1000/4000 w/ small amount of hand applied Factory Finish polish.  Layout is 65* 4.25" 40.  IMO the VAL angle for me can't be too large as this helps the ball transition a bit better on the backend.  I did not put an X hole in it.  The PSA is 1/2" left of the marked MB.

I love the Immortal Pearl, very strong core and cover. The solid i didnt match up to well with. I think the cover was too strong for me.

Contact Jason at Visionary, i think he still has a few left in stock.

Scott where did you get your solid, that sure looks like one i had with the orignal layout.

I traded a New Breed Crossover for it from 10_pin hater another Cheesehead from up GBay way.

I had previously tried a pin below middle finger MB shifted out 3" right of thumb that did not work.  So, this time I did not lay it out weak.  I think that's the key for me on these high flaring balls.  Some say lay them out weak but they roll up and puke for me.  Get the surface correct for lane condition and add axis rotation to get length and retain energy and roll hard on backend.  bowlers with low axis tilt and not a lot of axis rotation might have an issue with this kind of  equipment. (.078 diff.)  Giving it a 40* VAL angle to transition harder at backend also made a difference for me.  Balls like this with a larger sum/VAL angle don't work for me.  I tend to use the Immortal Solid more in the track area when moving in I need a stronger piece to carry better.

This is only my trial and my opinion but I managed to buy a used Immortal Pearl from my driller.

The layout on the ball was pin over the ring finger, about two inches above the finger line with the CG kicked out a little.  This put the non marked MB right of the thumb.

The surface of the ball was 2000 plus polish.

I tried this ball on medium oil, probably a little less than true medium with slightly dry outsides.  The length was a little long not sure how though.  The ball rolled out terribly, the flare rings were almost two inches apart and it covered about six or so inches of the cover.  I threw two shots then got rid of the ball.

I don't understand the nature of the Immortal Pearl, seems like a weak cover and a seriously over powered core.  For me it's not useful on lighter or heavier oils.  But I imagine the right surface and layout on the solid would be very good.

Strong ball and definitely depends on what Scott said, though I think a little forgiveness might be there depending on the lanes.

First one I had I hated.  I didn't find the ball to be anything special.  I believe it was drilled with pin level with ring finger and to the right about an inch or so and the CG kicked to the right.

Second one I had Jason tell me what he thought based on him actually seeing me bowl.  Ball is laid out with pin right under the ring and CG slight moved into the palm area.  I had the cover taken down a little and then after having thrown it a couple times, had it put back to factory finish where it's been since.  I really do love this ball.  Reads mids well and has a strong backend.

Just my take and I've said it before in above post if you don't get the PSA in the right position for your stats. and lane condition bowled on plus surface correct and above all ability to add axis rotation to get length and pop you will suffer with these balls.  Just no two ways around it.  I'd guess more people struggle with them than do well with them.

Agree with Scott & Gary. I have had several Immortals in the past. I really love the Immortal Pearl , if you get any hand in the ball you will not want it drilled any where close to a strong layout. These balls are difficult to layout. but if you get it right and on the right lane condition they are a beast.

The Immortals are balls that you dont want to drill them super weak, such as a 6+ inch pin to PAP, nor do you want to drill them with the pin at or near leverage.  If you are speed dominate, drill pin around 4.25 - 4.5 from PAP. If you are a good match speed and rev rate wise, drill the pin at 5 inches.  If you are rev dominate, go to 5.5.  If you use a weight hole, put it in P1 or maybe P2.  I would not rish P3 or 4.  The idea is to prevent the ball from flaring too much or too quickly.  At box finish, it would work best for speed dominate bowlers.  Take the OOB and add some Rough Buff or other compound for those that are a match.  Take surface to 2000, 4000, or either one and add polish for those rev dominate.  I am actually considering getting one to be my oil ball; something to give a similar look as my Ogre Solid but handle more oil.

These balls flare a ton.. and the cover is super super strong.. but so strong that the ball won't hook a ton of boards..
The ball I had wanted to roll at my feet.. I ended up mostly playing down the boards with this ball.  This ball did carry a ton..It destroyed the pins.  I really hated how the ball looked on the lanes because it wasn't anything like I was used to or expected but when I threw it I felt super confident that I would score a big game with it.
