Just got and I havent really thrown it much yet, I havent gotten the thumb just right yet. What are you guys using it on and what have you got the cover at? For me it has a similar shape to the centaurs, but goes longer and comes back a little harder. Seems to me the bronze cover is stronger in oil( it doesnt just skate in the carrydown like this ball does), this is the G3 cover on the Immortal. Seems like it should be perfect for when the Bronze is coming in to early.

Took mine down to 2000 abralon and it really brought the ball to life.  Although I've recently needed more backend so I took it to 4000 ab. and hit it with factory finish.  This ball gets great length now and is stronger on the backend.  Even stronger than when I first got it.

Questions:
How is it drilled? (Stacked, Arc, Control)
How far is the PIN to PAP?

A little surface will keep it from skidding so far through the fronts, but you may see a small decrease in hitting power as the ball will not store as much energy when it gets to the pocket.

If you're getting alot of over/under, then surface will smooth out the reaction.  Do you have a weight hole in the ball?  You could always get your proshop guy to tweak the weight to try and change the reaction a little.

Start with the surface change - definitely a good idea and see how that does for ya.  If that doesn't work, try it at 2000 abralon, and if that doesn't work, 1000 abralon with very light Storm #2 compound.
