Having trouble finding a workable surface with the Immortal Solid for THS, need help. My pap is 5 1/2 over and 1/4 up my speed is 14-15 mph. Have tried different surfaces and can,t find one that works. So i thought i see what worked for you . Ball is drilled pin just right of ring and MB 1 1/2 right of thumb and 3/4 below thumb. Bring it on!!

what have you tried so far?
What type of oil pattern/amount are you bowling on?
What other ball/drilling/surface works on it?

This makes no difference unless we know your PAP.

Charlest my pap is there. Have tried Valentino resurrection over 600 grit and 1000 grit with snake oil . 30ft. of oil dry from 10 out. I play 12-15 board straight up with other balls. This ball pushes to far down lane with no real snap.

That ball really isn't going to snap. Take the poish off and try 2000 or 4000 matte finish. That may help it read the midlane and pop alittle in the back.

Oops, sorry. It was early in the AM when I wrote that with no coffee.
That is a VERY strong drilling for this ball.
Do you have a high ball speed that would warrant such a strong drilling?
Or is this 30 feet of oil super-heavy, like are people all using very dull strong balls on it?

I agree with Laddog twice. This ball is not that sort of ball. The differential is HUGE. Even with polish it's probably flaring soon after it hits the lanes. Plus 30 feet of oil is pretty dry and short in most cases. You didn't specify which balls you used.
FYI The Immortal Solid's stock surface is a Scotch Brite light grey nylon pad (Visionary calls it 1000 grit). That is the same as 2000 grit Abralon pad. I assume you've tried the ball with the stock surface and it also did not work.
Try 4000 grit Abralon without polish. Then try it with polish.
Depending on your ball speed and rev rate, the ball could be burning up in the midlane just because there just isn't enough oil. If there's too much oil, for your rev rate and ball speed, then you need a lower grit.

I don't own an Immortal but have thrown one some. It compare favorable to my SD-73's. At oob the Imortal I threw was pretty sweet(drilled 4.5x4.5 approx)my
stacked SD-73 is 3 3/8x3 3/8 and would burn out at 1000. I polished it and it became a litte squirty so I took it to 4000 (this is were it and the Immortal seem to be pretty close to each other).

Twitch 1,
For what it's worth, these guys are telling the truth about the Immortal's being strong balls.
I had the pearl and OMG. That ball started flaring almost in my backswing and was so strong I can't really imagine ever needing the solid. We have 40ft oil buffed to 45 and the pearl would just eat that alive and hook tons. I sold it to a guy who throws it pretty hard ( much more than me ) and he shot an 800 ith it, but it was just too much ball for me.
Given the drilling you have on it is so strong, there may not BE a surface you can go to and make it work on 30ft oil.

I have the solid and played on light to med conditions I took it to 1200 us grit and put a good coat of polish...
It still was a bit much I found if you play more center and have a higher arm swing it will move nicely and hit a ton...otherwise it will die out and not move much.

goodness, just 30ft of oil? that's SHORT. no wonder the ball has no backend, it flares up incredibly fast and then dies. you need some serious oil for this ball.
