More Raven

I think I'm in love.  Finally got the chance to drill this beauty up and let it strut its stuff on our last night of league.  The ball was very smooth the first couple of practice shots, didn't have quite the angularity I expected, but still continued through the pins and hit well.  I initially attributed it to the particles smoothing out the reaction.  But then I intentionally tried to throw one through the break point, and suddenly the angularity appeared.  I realized the ball was just burning up a bit, and the continuation through the pin deck had fooled me.  I kept the faster speed and went 268, 269, 279 for 816 right out of the box.  The thing I really liked was that as the shot broke down, the ball just smoothed out a bit but still hit the pocket and had enough continuation to carry.  With my ball roll (fairly high rotation and very little tilt), many times the ball will grab early and jump through the nose when the shot dries out.  The Raven let me know it was time to move without a penalty.  How sweet is that?

Gratz on the 800!!  I had a very nice team tournament last week with mine after a 2 week layoff.  Shot was a standard house shot but a lot less volume than my home house.  Played deep all night and turned quite a few heads.

Took my son out to practice yesterday, as he has Pepsi state tournament coming up. I went 250+ both games just messing around.   Oh and BTW he is 11 and shot 189 195 with his MB Crossover/Warlock DC.

Couple more years and he is going to replace me on the Vids!!  He does not know it yet but for his Birthday he is getting a 13lb Raven for next season.

I haven't thrown any Visionary equipment since the old Blue Sparkle Griffin days.  A ball which I totally loved and should have never sold off.  I do plan on picking up a Raven just based upon what I have seen and heard about this ball.  Would love to throw another one of their pieces again, and this ball seems like the right fit.
