Title: Immortal solid and red zone

I was about to pull the trigger on a Red Zone this morning when the Visionary Immortal Solid caught my eye.  I want solid reactive with a assy. core.  Both fit the bill, but I wonder which will be stronger given the same surface and same drill.

Andrew,

I'd compare the BTM numbers and reviews to come up with some sort of comparison to start with.  I doubt you are going to find many that have tossed both.

FWIW, BTM didn't review the Immortal Solid in November's issue.  Maybe next month.

I have thrown my Immortal solid this week and it is a beast. First time I threw it the ball didn't have much hook to it til I realized the sanding lines were 90 degrees to the track from the factory, but after I took the sanding lines perpindicular all I can say is WOW!! I even had to take it to 2000 grit to tone it down a bit.

I doubt the Red zone is a med to light ball with the same surface prep as the Imm Solid.  Activator is activator.

There is no way the Red Zone is designed for medium to light conditions unless you drill it extremely weak and out a mega coat of polish on it to make it push down the lane.  The Immortal Solid compared to the Red Zone is going to rev earlier, have have an earlier breakpoint and have just as much continuation down the lane if not more.  The only thing to guard against is the Immortal rolling out on the backend if you drill it too strong due to its diff number (.078)
