Can any one tell me how much stronger the Immortal Pearl is than the Green Gargoyle?
They would have the same drilling. The specs for the Immortal core are ridiculously strong, but is the cover made for medium oil?
I sent a email to Visionary, but have not received a response yet.
I LOVE my gargoyle, but would like a stronger Visionary pearl above it.
Thanks for your responses! don

I have owned both, and my immortal is easily stronger overall. When you say they will have the same drill on them that would work on other balls but the immortal has its own special drill sheet ..
I will say this my immortal is drilled pin 1 1/2 above the middle finger with cg in the palm and the vmb in the #3 spot and it gets downlane with ease and has a extremely strong arc (almost flip) and never hesitates to turn... The green was great when the back ends had some dry ,but carrydown was its enemy... Where as the immortal deals with carrydown much better and thanks to the incredibly strong core it will turn when the green wont

I will second what Hyme said.
For me, the Immortal Pearl will handle medium conditions. The Green Gargoyle for me was better suited for lighter oil or a broken down condition like 2nd shift tournament. Mine were not drilled identically so I can't give an exact comparison plus I know for me the GG would struggle on the fresh house shot so I never really used it much there. I had the GG drilled with a pin above layout and the Immortal Pearl (don't remember where the pin is) ended up with zero side, finger and top. For me the IP ended up as a good control ball on the THS. I have my high game with the IP and my high series with the GG, so I did like both but for different lane conditions.

You guys are AWESOME! That is exactly what I was hoping for. I ALWAYS take my GG with me whenever I bowl, but I wanted something for earlier in tournaments.
Again, THANKS!

All I can say in addition to the immortal pearl is take some time when picking out the drilling layout for the ball ... Its crutial to get the best from it

I was hoping to drill it pin above the bridge, stacked. Same as my GG. Will that work?

How is your speed and revs?
-
325 rpm, 16-17 mph

Then id say going with the same layout should be ok .... But if you want to list all specs and maybe pm mattc on here cause he is a great guy and has helped me a fee times now... You can also email Jason at visionary but his replies have been about 1-2weeks out..

The Immortal is an asymmetric. You can't drill it the same as the symmetric GG. The CG is of no significance with an asymmetric and the MB/PSA is a different animal than the CG.

Plus add to the fact it's diff .078 and the VMB on the opposite side of the MB to drill correctly you either need to guess well or have a driller with a DeTerminator to find the PSA. To lay these Immortals out is a crap shoot especially if you don't know your stats and match up well to the lane condition.
PM MattC and he will give you his contact at VBP. Jason has been out for some time now and you need another contact.
Also read the BR initial page and it's properties and it may help. http://www.ballreviews.com/visionary/immortal-t753.0.html
The pearl is the better of the two for most players on house conditions.

Thanks for the information. I will check with mattc, see what he says. Thanks again!
