Do you think Visionary is Selling more equipment now that Columbia went to EBO and their is no more Dyno-thane or Circle? Here is another thought do you think this could be Visionary's chance to move up with the heavy hitters as far as getting their name out their like Storm or Ebonite or will they remain quietly doing their thing?

This is not a rant about VBP I will throw this stuff before I buy another 900 Global ball. Just asking people opinions.

From what I see....Visionary is more popular now than 1999 when I started throwing them.

They will never be a Ebonite-Big B player but the biggest of the small companies that can keep everything in house.  I don't see them going away.

Great equipment, long lasting, innovative <New Ogre Particle/you'll never see a more different particle from what most comapnies call particle than what is on the new Ogre Particle>, responsive <Jason and Betsey have to be one of the best at responding and getting what you need in a timely fashion at the specs you want>, reasonably priced, not a ball of the month club company so you can figure out their line-up and see what matches up to your technique and lane conditions bowled on, great line-up from the oiler to the super dry lane ball and everything in between + plus they don't randomly discontinue equipment until it does not fill a need.

Can you tell I like 'em?

I also think they are much more popular because of gradual insinuation into the marketplace by word of mouth. People see how good they can be and how reliable in performance and longevity.

I hope they never become as big as the Big 3. I'm not 100% positive but I don't think that is their goal.

Since the change, I find myself thinking less about Columbia and Track (and there's no more Dyno-Thane for all practical purposes), and have started getting more interested in the full range of Visionary balls, not just those specialties, like the Slate Blue and the Blue/Green Centaur. In fact, I just purchased both AMB Centaurs, the solid and the pearl.

I am in two minds on this one, part of my says that the guys at visionary deserve to become much bigger, because they are great people who do a wonderful service to bowling.

However, Visionary IMHO is the best kept secret in bowling.  Personally I don't want the team I am bowling against to be bowling with visionary stuff

Hey....stop stealing my lines!!  LOL....

You know.....had a conversation with Jason about the company itself.  Actually most of my talking with him was to pick his head on Faball as I loved the product.  Still do....just everything is on the back burner.

Talking with him was interesting.  Let's just say that with what we talked about.....I feel the things he could do on a personal level could easily outweigh what he could do in the industry....easily.  And if he reads this, he'll probably know exactly what I am talking about.  It's because of that one thing that really make Jason and Visionary stand out head above all others.....morals and just the overall view of what he does.

I wish VBP nothing but the best.  And I made my mind up to support in whatever way I could.  People ask me about the product, I tell them.  If someone wants to know how to get one, I let them know.  If someone asks what's a good ball for such and such, I'll think of what VBP has to offer and make a suggestion.

As for the actual question, I think people are seeing more with the internet as well and that's going to help.  Seeing them there gets the wheels in motion and then you start seeing people throwing the stuff.

Sure....the bigger guys will out produce for now what VBP is doing.....but I think in the end, VBP is going to more than manage to continue making a great product and with proper placement.....I think more will be using the goods.

I only hope that they become "big enough" to be on the PBA...at least regionals, but I'd love to see someone throwing their stuff again!

Yes as an independent.

I don't see any except the largest companies have a staff any longer.  Maybe MoRich has WRW but that's about it.  Big B, Storm and Ebonite etal.

The $$$ just isn't there to sign a high dollar staff player.  Add the high $$$ that the PBA requires for registration is a losing deal.

Plus I do NOT need to see a ball used on TV to know that Visionary equipment is top notch.  My purchases on equipment are NOT based off of TV.

Total agreement, though what's thrown may start an interest in a ball.  The pros are good enough to where they could win with multiple balls, so long as the matchup was good.

The Haugen stuff was mentioned to me to the point where it was a relatively famous match and generated little interest in the Vis stuff.  Sad.

Agreed Drrev2000, but as stated, I believe it was felt that little was generated for the match that occurred.

Although I was happy that Michael Haugen had his most sucessful year on the tour using AMF equipment, he should've been shredding the rack w/ Visionary equipment.  Remember when he lost by mere pins against Weber back in 2001-2002 season (in Louisville I believe) w/ his Red and Black Executioners?  That performance sold me on the company and by the following season, I had my Granite Gargoyle.

I don't need to see them on TV for me to be sold on a ball....I just loved watching it be thrown by a pro. It's awesome to see. I already owned both the clear amulet, Greenie, and Granitex2 before I saw that match...but I still liked seeing it!

FYI....for everybody that thinks a small company like Visionary can pay the exorbitant PBA registration fees......I don't think it will happen. You can wish but that wishful thinking.  This comes up every 3-4 months and has been discussed ad nauseum.  http://pba.com/resources/ProductCategories.asp  Someone write Samantha Mulligan and ask the cost for a fully registered company.

Cost is prohibitive IMO.  Maybe grassroots someday for regionals would make sense but I can not speak for Visionary management.  Just a guess.
