is Visionary long for this world???
« on: March 17, 2005, 12:47:55 PM »
boy do i hate to start off a discussion with a title like this.. but i am worried!!

A VERY good ball driller i know told me that Visionary is not long for this world... now, let me get one thing clear, I DONT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN!!!  i love the products.  in fact, i think my G3 is the best finishing ball i have ever thrown in my life, and i am now selling alot of visionary products in my pro shop < although i wish the drilling diagrams were easier to read, the generally suck >...  SO, if anyone has heard anything about the stability of them, PLEASE post it here.  I hope the best for this little ball company.

maybe someone from the company will see this and respond!!!

I can't speak on behalf of the company, but I will speak for myself since I throw their equipment.

Do you remember Hammer?  Wasn't a small company and hasn't been a small company...Visionary owned Hammer....they sold the name about 3-5 years ago.

Visionary isn't going anywhere.  Everyone feels that because they didn't put up the sponsorship money for the PBA that they are hurting themselves.  When the time is right, they will be back.

As for the drilling diagrams, what's so hard about them, I don't drill balls (yet) but I've never had a problem laying them out for people....Visionary is on the cutting edge and focuses on making quality products that fit into the current line of products they have.  Their goal is to provide bowlers with the best equipment at the best price, not like others who go for quantity rather than quality.

The stability is fine....so continue selling, drilling, and throwing your Visionary Products....I got word that the Frankie May ball is going to be a good one for the National Shot!

Hi,

While I can't guarantee that we will be around in five years, I can tell you that we have no intention in going anywhere.  We have continuously grown over the past five years, and we are hoping that it continues and that we will eventually become much more recognized in the industry.

As most of you know, the bowling industry has been declining steadily over the past 10 years, and ABC/USBC members have decreased dramatically.  However, we still feel there is a place for a company like ours, and that when the equipment is given a chance it performs as well or better than even the larger companies.  It is unfortunate that many bowlers are not willing to try our equipment, because those that have used our bowling balls now realize that just because we are small, does not mean we are not as technologically advanced.

Many of you were concerned about the fact that we did not register with the PBA, and thought that we may lose most of our sales because of it.  I can honestly say that our sales have not seen any decline at this point, and have continued to grow at approximately the same rate as it had while we were registered.  Obviously, we have had some pro shops stop carrying our equipment, and we would love to have them back, but we are continuing to pick up new shops on a daily basis and feel confident that it was the right decision at this point.

We are a small family owned company, but as most of you are aware, we have been around the industry for a long time and know what it takes to make quality equipment, and what it takes to make a successful business.  Strong equipment, good customer service, and honest straightforward advertising is the best way to make a solid company.  It is a slow process, but it is the best approach to making a company that does not leave their customers feeling alienated.

The only way that I can see losing the battle is if league and tournament bowlers continue to drop at the same rate that it has.  I have a feeling that there are going to be some major changes over the next few years, and hopefully we can get bowling back to where it was ten years ago.

Once again, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the opportunity to throw our equipment, and to everyone who supports our company on a daily basis.  It is greatly appreciated, and I only hope that we can continue to earn your respect and your support.  Bowlers like yourselves are what makes our company possible.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at vbpadvertising@aol.com, and I will try to assist you in any way that I can.
