Executioner arsenal, The perfect 3
« on: March 08, 2005, 02:52:47 AM »
I am getting ready to rebuild my arsenal, and I am doing a little research.
I talked to frankie may last year at Reno, and got a copy of his "Perfect 3"
arsenal sheet.  I don't know how many of you visionary guys have it, but I guess this question goes out to you.

Building an arsenal lets say 4 ball because you might use the same layout
on two different executioners.  Which executioner would you use for each layout.

Livespive,

The "Perfect 3", for those who are reading this and don't know, is a Control Drill, Stack Drill, and Arc Drill.

Now for the equipment, are you wanting to set up a 4-ball arsenal with only the Charcoal, Crimson, and Purple Executioner or are you looking for any 4-ball Visionary arsenal utilizing these layouts??

Executioner 4-ball Arsenal

Charcoal @ 3 3/8 control - box finish
Charcoal @ 3 3/8 stacked - wet sanded or polished to 1200
Crimson @ 4 or 4 1/2 stacked - box finish
Purple @ 4 arc - box finish or polished to 1000

Visionary 4-ball Arsenal

Charcoal @ 3 3/8 control - box finish
AMB Centaur @ 4 1/2 stack - box finish
G-3 Gryphon @ 4 1/2 stack - box finish (hit lightly with reactive cleaner to start)
Green Gargoyle @ 4 arc - box finish

Those are just a couple quick thoughts for not knowing your game and not seeing you throw the ball.

The Visionary Arsenal I put together is the one I offer to people who come to me with questions as to what would fit best if they were to get all new equipment and wanted it to be Visionary balls.

If you have questions to my selections or feel another ball might fit you better let me know....like I mentioned before, this is just a template...most of the people I'm talking to I've seen throw the ball and know their strengths and weaknesses, so there I may change a ball out for another, but generally this is an excellent starting point.

I was looking at making an all executioner arsenal.

Executioner 4-ball Arsenal

Charcoal @ 3 3/8 control - box finish
Charcoal @ 3 3/8 stacked - wet sanded or polished to 1200
Crimson @ 4 or 4 1/2 stacked - box finish
Purple @ 4 arc - box finish or polished to 1000

Rhight now I have:

Charcoal @ 3 3/8 arc 1000 polish
Crimson @ 3 3/8  Stacked box condition
I am looking to see where I might place my PIE

My biggest question is the control and stacked layouts.

I thought stacked ment that the pin and cg was the same distance from the pap?
Looking at my crimson thaet wa drilled stacked leverage, it looks more like the
control ball on his diagram.

Stacked is when the CG is located directly under the pin in a straight line.  Placing a ball in the Stacked Leverage position means that the Pin and CG are equal distance from the PAP.  Usually for maximum flare, maximum hook this will be 3 3/8.

In some cases if the cg is anywhere from .01 to .49 left or right of the line coming straight down from the Pin people consider it stacked, but a true stack is straight down.

When the CG starts to get kicked out toward the PAP this is considered control.  If your crimson is like that then it probably is control....

I was actually experimenting in that I wanted to get as close to a 3-3/8" pin as I could get so that I could have 3-3/8x3-3/8x3-3/8.

I will have to drop a line straight down and see how far the cg is form it.
