Can't wait to go out later today and throw it. Hopefully it won't be as bad as last night (crazy amount of carrydown...that's what happens at 7 PM on a Sunday afternoon full of birthday parties).
Here's some pics:

I can't wait to see how it compares to my SR300.

Let us know Ryan.
I thought about an Immortal Solid 5 1/2 pin to PAP but think I will replace my original FM Gryphon with another.

Got to throw this thing for about 6 games so far, so I'm getting used to it. Right now, I've played on a freshly oiled house shot, about the higher side of a medium volume.
So far I can play this ball down and in, but I can't really swing it out. It needs a bit of dry to bounce off of, but it's not as angular as I thought it was. My SR300 in its OOB was much more angular than this ball, but now that I hit it with 1000 scotchbrite with Track Clean N Sheen, it is a lot earlier and smoother. The Immortal Pearl gets a good bit of length before it makes it's hockey stick type motion.
The ball is definitely a winner so far. I can see myself pulling it out when my SR300 is checking up early.

Put some more games on it, basically verifying what I thought before. I can really play a nice down and in shot, throwing it down 10. This ball clears the mids very well, and once it hits dry and revs up, there's no stopping it. I ended up reducing the revs with my hand position and was able to string along 8 in a row to finish a game 256. It's beautiful watching this thing rev up and smash the pocket!!!
Great ball by Visionary, now I'm debating which the next ball I will buy is! Either the new Dyno-Thane Threshold NGS or the new Ogre.

Nice to hear Ryan.
Got my Ogre punched tonite. Thought I'd see what it's like OOB. Seems like it too much surface for me but I want to see what it's like. Will roll some tomorrow after work.

Another update!!!
I took this ball to my proshop today when I noticed a weird track line perpendicular to my grip line right above my thumb. I don't know if it's supposed to track like that, but my pro shop guy determined that the x-hole on it was 2 inches past my PAP, and with such a high-flaring ball it is rolling over the hole right before it makes its drive into the pocket. Maybe this could be why I can't swing it out at my regular house (I threw this bad boy at the house with my pro shop today in league, and there's considerably less oil, so I could play a nice swing here. Man, this thing revs up!!! Shot 184, 246 but switched to my Tropical Storm after the 2nd game and finished up with a 210.)
I'll post another update (review will be delayed since I will be plugging and re-drilling a new x-hole.) when I can get whatever it is fixed!!!

X holes should be drilled on a ball like the Immortal Solid because it flares so much after your driller sees where you track and flare.....never before IMO.

I know that now
. There was no way I could do that before on this ball though, cause I won it in an auction from ASB-Joe and he drilled it up for me.

I bought an OGRE from AllStar Joe .. he drilled it and I had delivery yesterday (Monday 5 Feb). Took it to league today .. shot a clean series 676! Ball rolls with a nice arc to the pocket. CG is in my palm pin is about one inch above and one inch to the right of my ring finger (right handed).
Great ball!

I love my Immortal Pearl from what I have seen, and I hope that fixing the weight hole problem will help my ball recover through the oil more (I could only play down and in on a medium condition). Joe drilled mine up great, but I didn't know my PAP at that point, so he's not to blame about the x-hole. It was free too, so I don't mind spending $10 to fix it
.
