The Granite Gargoyle did the same as far as getting fuzzy. The new Ogre Particle is supposed to do the same also.

But they are all BLEMs. The problem with them is you don't really know what the blemish is!
More important that the Clear Gargoyle is there is an Infra Red Amulet and 2 urethanes: a Glowing Amulet & the Slate Blue Gargoyle. They are much more rare: dynamite urethanes that are REALLY useful unlike some other brands I can name.

I've got a NIB Violet Gargoyle blem sitting at work. I looked at it and nothing stood out that needed the BLEM stamp in the ball.
To me....the fact that Jason and company puts a blem on a ball that we can't see anything wrong with is a good thing...in my opinion.
