OK, here are my less than educated findings.......
Glad Pearl drilled pin in ring finger cg stacked (5x5)
Bowling on a left over 1st shift, house is normally a wee bit heavier medium.
The best angle for the GP was standing 20 and going up 11 with a VERY slight belly, never getting the ball past 8. I played a few in early but I needed a bit more bank to get the recovery I was looking for. Ball was VERY even through the midlane, nice controlled backend and plenty of pop at the pin deck. Britton was right on when he said it had the control of the Solid and the hitting power of the SS, one of the best hitting balls I have ever thrown.
I liked that if I missed in, it held pocket, did not leave one 4 pin in four games. Didn't leave much of anything to be honest.
The GP kind of reminds me of a hookier Blue Green Centaur. Rolls heavy like the Blue/Green but has a better backend motion. I can see the Glad Solid-GP and BGC being a great 3 ball combo. Smooth and predictable with good pop all the way around.
My youtube moment that I wish I caught on tape was the 11th ball in the last game. Got a little firmer with a bit more hand and it came in 3/4 pocket. The headpin came off the sideboard and ripped across the lane into the right gutter. It hit what must have been the six pin lying there and flew up and took out the 10. There is a senior league a few pairs over and one of the guys shouts out " I want that ball"!!!!
I am going to get a few more games on it at a few different houses and post a review. Quick analysis: Not nearly as snappy as the SS, much more midlane. Good control, ones I got left held pocket and I always knew off my hand what the ball would do. To me, a more all around usable ball than the Green Blue Centaur (a great ball in it's own right on drier conditions). I look forward to throwing it on cleaner backends to see what it can really do.
