I've recently become a test staff member, and got a G-3 and Purple Ice when I signed up.  I'm looking to go with 2 more, and would like to see if I'm on the right track.

I'm thinking about a Granite Gargoyle for the heavy carrydown conditions.  In the house that has the worst carrydown I've seen, the strongest ball I have (Mutant, dulled to 600) thrown in the middle of the lane will skid for 55 feet before breaking into the pocket, hitting like a "powder" snowball.  Trying to play it outside or straight down and in doesn't help much either, it will still hit like a marshmallow.

The 2nd one is a Charcoal Executioner (drilled leverage) to both replace my 16# Danger Zone and be a compliment to my Deuce which is drilled for backend snap.

I'm eager to try out the G-3 and Purple Ice when they get here.  I'm thinking of drilling them like my Danger Zone since it tends to out-rev my 15# Deuce.

From what I've read and heard from a friend (who is also a member), Visionary has pretty good stuff.  I'm looking forward to trying Visionary, and I hope to stay with it for a long time.

The Burgundy is a great ball for heavy oil.  So is the Purple Ice.  The Burgundy has more backend.  The Purple Ice tends to have more of an arcing motion.  They both hit very hard, even on heavy oil.  So it depends on your style.  I prefer a ball with more backend because they tend to carry better. The Purple Ice hits extremely hard, in fact I believe it hits harder than any other ball I have thrown.  But I do tend to leave a lot of ringing tens with it.  I leave a lot less with the Burgundy.
