mini review on g3 gryphon
« on: September 11, 2006, 02:44:53 PM »
first off it is 16 lbs 3.6 top weight and a 3-4 inch pin drilled it stacked leverage pin ended up about 1/4 inch right and 1/4 inch above the ring finger and cg stacked at 6 oclock below it

bowling on 42 feet of oil with an additinal 14 feet of bump oil wood lanes clean backends

i drilled this ball stacked cause i didnt think the polished cover would handle the oil lol  boy was i wrong the ball is to strong i have to figure out how to tame it down the ball starts a 40 feet and arcs into the pocket but i have to increase speed to hold a line this ball is way under stated alot stronger than i expected i used it

i only used for first two games and then early season weak arm couldnt keep speed up so i switched to my the one this ball hits hard and carrys extreamly well I will have to get another and not underestimate it this time and drill it for lenght and snap ty all for listening

Go pin high 5 x 4 1/2 or 5 x 5 and you will have exactly what you are looking for, i am getting the 15 lb with the 2 inch pin one they had left today. I am going pin under ring and cg out roughly 4 1/2 x 4 1/4 for me no weight hole.

It will handle any medium pattern and some carrydown it does not like alot of carrydown but what shiny ball does??? If you like this ball try to get an red pearl executioner if you want something for alittle less oil that backends even harder. I have one red pearl left and it stays the ball is a keeper just like the g-3 is.

I did not like the greenie if you want a great lighter medium dryer ball you can swing with great hit get the hot rod ss pearl. Best light medium ball made it just hits hard shot after shot, for more money the World Class Reactive from legends is a good one too. But honestly the ss pearl is just as good for half the price imo.
