Mixed Breed Solid
« on: January 13, 2013, 08:54:49 AM »
I used the Mixed Breed Solid Friday night during league play after struggling the first game with The Classic.  The first game I bowled a 126 and could not figure out the shot.  The second game I spared the 1st and 2nd frames with The Classic, but decided to throw the Mixed Breed Solid.  I moved two boards left until I found the shot that I was looking for.  This positioned me with my left foot on the 25th board and my right foot on the 22nd board.  I opened my shoulder, bellied the ball out and it came back.  But I bellied it out to far because it was hitting the pocket a little light.  Well, I struck out in the 10th and finished the 2nd game with a 179.

Well, the third game, I decided to play the lanes a tighter and just roll the ball up the 15th board and let the ball roll deep and tight in the pocket and WOW!  The Mixed Breed Solid back end reaction was tremendous and damn did it carried very well.  I even converted a 4-9 split during the 3rd game with the ball.  I finished the game with a 241.  The team I subbed for, which are my tournament group, were impressed with how hard the Mixed Breed Solid hit the pocket and how the ball held the its line, even when I missed my intended mark.  If I keep bowling with this equipment, I see my average increasing by the end of the year.  My average have has not increased in the past 5 years.   Also, weekly I am seeing higher scores and more 200 games since I have started bowling with Visionary equipment.  The ball was drilled with the intention of going long because of my low speed.  The pin is approx 4 1/2 inches from axes point.   Medium flare positions.  I am planning on purchasing another Mixed Breed Solid and several other Visionary balls.

Congratulations on the good bowling.
Having the right ball in your hand can make a world of difference, as you have seen.

Good bowling the last game with the Mixed Breed Solid.

If you are planning on getting some more Visionary balls, you should consider taking advantage of the 'test staff' option to save some money depending on how many balls you are considering buying.  The Gold and Platinum are the better value because you will save on shipping charges on any future purchases up to a year.

The above statement alone warrants exactly what Gary said above.....'test staff'.

Not sure on your specs, but I think with slow speed...there might be some of the older pearls as well they might have that will help you out as well.
