unfortunately the update time on the website has always seemed on the slow side.

On the 20th  in an e mail to Jason, he said he was going to check on that and get back with me.

Nothing yet, I figured with the Holidays and his new addition that he's been pretty busy.

Cool, thanks.  Not that I'll win, it's just that I enter every month and was just wondering if they stopped it.

Three Months and still no winners?
Visionary has great products, but...
Their is little if any effort or commitment any longer on their part to promote product line anywhere in the US except West Coast.
No commitment to getting product in ProShops and no commitment to their website. Each month it appears they put little to no effort into promoting their product. Great product line, great service by phone, but NO commitment getting the product line and or their IDENTITY out there. Is there anyone out there promoting at the local competitive level on the East Coast........NO.
From what I have seen over the last year or two, unless you come onto BallReviews.com you don't receive any answers or for that matter know that Visionary still exists.
I would have put this rant on the Visionary website except I have a better chance to receive Jason Wonder or a Visionary Representative.

Proform,

I am assuming you are talking about the website I created for the West Coast Visionary stuff. Please let me remind you that Sales Job and Bowling are my jobs! Therefore I want to see as much going around about bowling as possible in the way of tournaments, news, updates, etc.. Some of the other sales reps have pro shops they run, they have families (I do not at this time), so they are limited to their time they can put into the extra stuff. I do understand that bowlers enjoy seeing stuff like websites, that is why I created mine. I hope everything has gotten a chance to check it out! If anyone on these boards has any questions about Visionary and you cannot get a hold of Jason, please feel free to email me on here or my email provided at the bottom! As far as the monthly winners, I don't have much to do with that. I apologize for that.

Have a good one everyone!!

Hi proform,

I am sorry that you feel that way, but I can assure you that we are doing everything that we can within our advertising and promotions budget, to promote our equipment throughout the entire US.

We are currently sponsoring more bowlers, and more domestic tournaments than ever before.  We sponsor several tournaments in Michigan, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Texas and many others.  In addition, we are currently the official sponsor of the Pennsylvania state bowling tournament, and sponsor of the largest travel league in the US with the TCBA.

We are advertising in our trade magazines on a more frequent basis (Bowlers Journal and Bowling This Month), and have numerous sponsorship deals that we are working on as we speak.

Unfortunately when you keep everything in house, there are times where some things get put on the backburner in order to get more important things done. Jim, who is the president of the company, develops the new core designs, and also maintains our website, has been forced to do doubletime over the past several months, because our machinist of 23 years had to move due to unforseen circumstances.  On top of everything else, he has been developing a new multicolor pouring system so that we can pour 3-4 color balls (which you will see in the very near future).

We do everything in house, so that we can try and keep our prices as low as possible for the consumers.  There are going to be times where the website does not get updated as often as it could, but a website is pretty low on the totem pole when it comes to a business.

As far as the little jab about not responding to anything except ballreviews, if I have ever missed an email from someone I'm sorry, but I try to get answers to everyones emails and calls as quickly as possible, and to the best of my knowledge I have responded to and taken care of every email and phone call I have received.

Wouldnt worry about "proform" too much as this is then first of any thing he has posted in the last 30 days, and that is to complain about some thing free or at least part of it was complaining about some thing thats free.

I like how your totem pole seems to be functioning. In a strictly bowling business manner of speaking..

Jason,
I appreciate the response. My complaint is really not about anything FREE(PNJ1967) but instead is like I said---Great product and when I have dealt with them over the phone, excellent customer service. I just don't see any presence in New York or NewJersey. As for (me)not posting anything in over 30 days on this site, is that even relevant? NO
Anyone that I have gotten Visionary product into the hands of have loved the equipment, ask where to get it and thats where the conversation stalls. I no longer operate a ProShop full-time and no other ProShops will get Visionary in.
I understand your position, I just wish there was a better Visionary presence in the Western New York area.
Thank you for your response and taking the time to respond to all as quick as you do.

Hey Proform,

Trust me, I'm as frustrated as anyone with how long it is taking to get our equipment into the pro shops, but we are doing everything we can at the moment.  Unfortunately, the industry simply isn't what it used to be, and pro shops are very reluctant to carry much of an inventory let alone a product line that is new to them.

We do have a couple reps/staff players somewhat close to New York with Frankie May in Reading PA, and John Delp in PA as well.  Frankie makes several sales trips a year through New York, and stops by as many pro shops as possible.   John is a staff player who is currently 2nd in career 300's, and quickly gaining on 800's as well.  In addition, he had the second high average in the nation a couple years back, so we do have pretty solid representation in the northeast.

Our equipment is carried by Expressway Bowling Supplies in New York, and Gebhardt's in PA, both of which should be sending out our flyers to all of their pro shops when we release new equipment.

Anyway, the point is that we have to spread everything out across the country, and while we may not have the representation that the bigger companies do, we do have people on the east coast.
