Looking for comments on Immortal solid. I've got a chance to pick one up and thinking I'd like to try it. Oldie but goodie?
Thanks in advance

The Immortal Solid is one of my all time favorites.  The ball was fairly early, strong yet smooth.  I really like how it rolled through the pins.  I dropped from 16 to 15 a few years back, thus it moved out of my bag.  I was recently looking for a 15 that I could use as my oiler.  The ball has an unusual drill technique so you will want to make sure you have the drill instructions (or search online).

All in all, I would tell you that if you can get a hold of one, it is well work the investment.

the Immortal Solid is a Z spin ball.

To make a long story short, If you use the DA method of drilling your drill angles should be between roughly 0 and 40.  0 for max early hook 40 for a later more arcy look.

Try to use longer pin to pap distances.   in the 4 3/4 to 5 1/2 range

Here is a pic of my MB pearl with a 0 x 4 1/2 x 40

On this ball the "V" is where the normal Mass Bias is marked, but because of the Z spin this is not correct.  If you still need more Hook put a weight hole 2 inches down the VAL line.

Matt, not to change the topic, but that looks like the same layout as you had on the Raven in the intro video for that ball. Does that mean that the Raven is also a Z spin ball? Will drilling any Visionary ball be as convoluted?

Raven is a Symetric   Look at the cg mark on Raven Vs the MB Pearl

Raven the Yellow V is the cg mark.  The line from the pin through the CG goes between the weight hole and my thumb.  My PAP is about 2 3/4  above the weight hole

MB Pearl the CG circle is above the weight hole and if you draw a line from the pin to the V it will cross over my PAP
