All,

I'll be posting my specs, pics of my layout, and a description of the reaction in the next few days.  Stay tuned.

    All,

Layout: 4 Pin to PAP, drill angle=50, val angle=50.

I only got to throw this ball a few times in practice at a tournament this weekend.  The pattern was the same as I threw the NBP on but the difference between balls was night and day.  The layout on this ball proved to be too strong for the condition with OOB finish.

I was able to get the ball to the pocket a couple shots and it hit like a freight train too!  I had deer in the headlights after I saw the ball destroy the rack the way it did.

I drilled this ball to combat med-heavy to heavy oil conditions.  I was surpised to see how much stronger this ball was than the Gladiator Solid I have drilled at 3 3/8 Pin to PAP, drill angle=45, val angle=45.  It read the lane sooner an appeared to be more continuous across the whole pattern even though it read about 5 feet sooner.  I would've expected it to rollout because of the early read but it kept going which means the ball didn't seem to flare as fast out of the oil which allowed for it to use more of its flare potential as it carried further down the lane (hence the continuation through the whole lane).

I'm not sure I'll be able to throw this anywhere around here, unless in a tournament or if I dial up the cover to 2000 or 4000 and possibly polish it, but then that would defeat the purpose of the ball.

If I get a chance, I'll try to have the center put down the US OPEN pattern or one of the longer PBA patterns and see how the ball deals with that condition, maybe the 2008 National Pattern.

    More to come.....

I finally had a chance to throw the solid last night.  I was going to try and bring the Gladiator solid to put it in perspective, but I wasn't able to.

All I can say is the ball hook....and then some.  I don't remember looking at my track to see the flare, but I'll check it later on.

For me, I was able to play a 15-17 at the lines out to about 3-5 board and the ball had no issues coming back at all.  This was on an unused lane while leagues were going on, and I know they oil all the lanes at some point prior to leagues.....so I was very pleased with the reaction of the ball.

To say that it's stronger than the Gladiator Solid....well...for that's an understatement!!  I'll post pics in the other thread later on.

One thing you must remember, gsback could strike with a piece of concrete drilled up to fit his hand!! He is that good!! LOL!!

In all seriousness, he has been bowling lights out this fall and am sure this ball will continue his mastery of the lanes and he will keep his title as:

    "The King of Plano"

KOP I am not!!  LOL!!  Yes I've been bowling good, that's for sure, but I've also been putting in time to practice and learn the equipment.  When I start moving up in travel for average.....then maybe I'll think I'm doing a little better.

I really want to start looking into some tournaments as well.....just hard to do with weekends busy.
