Title: New to Visionary equipment

I was at my local pro shop and saw a G-3 and almost bought it. I know nothing about Visionary stuff so I was hoping  someone can tell me alittle bit about Visionary equipment.  How does it compare with the other leading brands?

Great equipment and company. Coverstocks last and last. Easy to alter. Good hit. blah blah When it comes down to it: Visionary is a small company that has top of the line products. Buy it!! you will not be disappointed.

What kind of ball are you looking for hockeynut15?  G-3 is a great ball but maybe not what you seek.

I'm looking at getting a BWP or Kinetic but i'm intrigued with LM and Visionary stuff because I like to be different and nobody in my area throws LM or Visionary equipment. I've read alot of good things about both companies and to be honest, I never really gave Visionary a second look until today. I really like the durability factor that Visionary offers.

It's supposed to be a real skid-flip ball for medium to medium-light conditions, which is comparable to the BWP in the box finish.  I don't know about the Kinetic but it should hold its own with the BWP.  Match the surface, though, I think the BWP will handle more oil.

G-3 is has the Gryphon II core and pearlized cover.  Lil lower Rg than most Vis. balls...gets in a  roll a bit earlier but clears the heads easily.  More of a skid-snappish reaction for most depending on your technique and lane condition bowled on with layout used.  More of a medium ball.  Will handle a bit of carry down but not a huge amount.  Some have scuffed the cover a bit if you get that over reaction from wet to dry side to side or off the spot too strong for you.

G-3 remains in the regular Vis. line-up but you should find them bit more reasonable than any new release.  There as good as most out there just depends on what slot you are putting the G-3 into.  Plus you are correct covers on Visionary and LM/L balls are very long lasting and surface tunable.

Thanks for the replies so far.. Just a few more questions. Does Visionary make their own stuff? Do they make bags?

Visionary pours the reactive equipment at the factory in Mo. The bags are made by K&R with the VBP logos.

It is.  For verifcation take your old original Faball Hammers out and look at the engraving on the ball....then look at the engraving on a VBP ball....you'll see what I mean.
