Now, normally I'm not one to do this but I feel compelled just this once.
I figured I was on to something when I got my Warlocks, put up some big numbers with the Blue, still working with the Orange. I also was reminded tonight why I really enjoyed throwing Visionary products before my hiatus.
I've always wanted a Gladiator pearl but never had a true reason to buy one since I have more than enough equipment laying around the house already. However, Charlest gave me an opportunity to obtain one and a sweet deal at that.
Tonight using the Gladiator pearl I shot 279-258-300 for 837.
The Gladiator pearl is laid out 55*3*55 and my goal was to use something strong enough to stay inside the oil line and not jump off the lane when exiting the pattern.
I used the GP on a second shift house older anvilane surface, shorter THS with tons of free hook outside and relatively crisp backends. There is remotely any carrydown even after open bowling.
The ball gave me good length through the heads but picked up a strong predictable roll and finished hard in a controllable manner. Even if I kept the ball tight inside the oil line it didn't over shoot the break, it dug in and always managed to make the turn.
Compared to the Orange Warlock it doesn't shred the rack or toss the pins everywhere but the carry is significantly better. Almost all pocket shots sent the pins straight back to the curtain or off the deck. They were kept low and moved quickly, no need for messengers but some rare bouncing tomahawks would take out stubborn seven pins. I also felt like the pocket was 10 boards big too.
Anyway a great ball some what bringing me back to the Crimson Executioner days.
