Charcoal Executioner
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:51:28 AM »
Was there two varients on the Charcoal Executioners? Im getting one the USBC name on the ball and the old wizard hand logo instead of the VBP logo.
Is there a performance difference or just looks?

Jason would have to answer for sure...but I've had both and they are very comparable.  I don't see much difference.

What is the date in the serial number? I bet one was made after they changed the logo, should say SL--.

They'd both have SL rusty.

Sorry, what I meant was the year would follow the SL, like 04 is 2004. Quick ?, my glow amulet is SP, would that be St Paul?

Hello,

OK, to answer your questions...

1)  The Executioners were out in the middle of our corporate logo change.  There is no difference between the two other than the fact that we changed the hand with ball and flames to the VBP.

2)  The Glowing amulet was still made here in St Louis.  When we first made the amulet line, we just decided to change the L to P just to stand for Polyester.  If you remember, the first amulet was the infra red amulet which was a polyester spare ball.  When we made the Urethane amulet, we just decided to leave the serial number the same way as the original, and figured the SP could just stand for Spare ball, which fit for both amulets.  Either way, we did it so that we didn't have to do any modifications with the engraving system, and all amulets would be the same.
