I ask this of Jason from time to time and seem to lose it in my e-mail. I'd also suppose others would like this information. Verbatim from the horses mouth. How Visionary gets to their OOB surfaces.

In our current line, for the balls that are 2,000 abralon, they go through our automatic sander using a burgundy scotch brite pad, then go through 1,000 abralon and then 2,000 abralon. 1,000 abralon balls go through the same process without the 2,000 abralon step.
Polished balls go straight from the burgundy scotch brite pad into the industrial polishing machine which uses a buffing compound to bring it up to 1500 polish.
The matte surface balls go from the burgundy pad to whatever the final surface is. So, if it is 1,000 matte it goes from the burgundy pad to a light grey pad on a spinner with plenty of water.
Older balls used to go through a similar process, but we also used sandpaper. So if the finish said sanded 320, than it used a 3m wet/dry sandpaper on a spinner with water.
Hope this helps,
Jason
