Title: Ogre/Gladiator for light oil?
Post by: carlitopeters on February 18, 2009, 06:56:53 AM
Can I use something from these two lines for light oil condition? I was thinking in a LM Hornet but my proshop doesn't have and he  only has Ogres and Gladiators from Visionary. I'm thinking a ball with Pin above fingers CG in palm, would it be OK?
Thanks

If he ONLY carries those 2 lines, then the Ogre SS is your only choice, but you might have to use a 5" pin to PAP and possibly something to smooth out the backend. It has a snappy backend for most people.

The Blue/Green Centaur is money in the bank on light to medium-light oil.

Thanks Charles, yes he doesn't have the BG Centaur and he is the only one who has Visionary around here. I was thinking exactly the same thing about the Ogre SS and I have low-medium revs so I think it's going to work.

If I remember....and this is based on me, pin above bridge with CG kicked out should give length and smooth out the backend.

That what Jason had suggested for me.  Again....based on how he knows I throw.  Should be safe for most I would think...but I don't know.
