pearl ogre surface
« on: January 24, 2008, 03:31:25 AM »
It seems I am not alone in that I am getting alot of over reaction with it oob, allergic to oil inside and exploding off of dry outside boards.
what have you guys done to mellow out this thing and make it a little more forgiving to use.
I was thinking of trying a white scotch bite and seeing what happens,as it is I am going 5 baggers or four counts, ball is very sensitive.

I don't blame the ball,it the way everybody oils lanes"10 units on 9 board jumping to 60 units on 10 board" makes pure hell for tweeners.

just an update,at start of practice, ball was doing the same thing, massive over under again.
finally broke down and just touched the ball lightly with white scotch brite, breaking the high gloss but ball is still shiny.
ball is working a 100% better,I was able to move my feet five left and target a couple boards inside the oil line and I had a fantastic reaction.
ball went from frustrating over under to great with just a small surface change.

surface,surface,surface!!!

Sand it to a high grit, 2000-4000, without polish. That usually keeps the ball more controlled if you dont want to loose length.
