Based on the drilling info that came withmy Blue/Green Centaur, that's how I was planning on laying mine out.  Let me know how you like it after you get to throw it on some light oil.

I'd be worried about drilling the pin so close, or even partially in the finger holes on some of those, especially with inserts.  Hopefully you don't crack it out.

Nice.

I was actually curious to find out if you've thrown the Frankie May yet. If you have, how strong is it with that drill on it. I was thinking of putting that drill on mine.

I went with drilling recommendations from Steve ("tekneek" on ballreviews) and he had no problems or concerns about drilling close or into the pin (he's the one that punched the holes).  He said the only balls he doesn't like to do that on is Brunswick/Morich.  Something about them not using a solid pin marker.  He said any other ball (Roto, Storm, Visionary, etc.) is fine to do that.

The Green/Blue flares less than an inch.  I have only thrown it on a fresh shot (wish I would have had it last night, but I only took the two Ogres and the Frankie May for league).  It is going to be a great light/spotty oil ball (if I ever see those conditions again).  I will post more info when I can throw and compare more.

The Frankie May looks to be the most verstile ball out of them.  I have thrown it on med/light and was able to swing it wide. Last night on the fresh/light stuff it was just a bit strong in the back, so I went down to the Ogres.  I am hoping to see some heavy stuff because I think it will be a monster in the soup with a regular old down and in shot.

In my Thursday night league we usually see a nice med/heavy fresh shot, but last night they went lighter on us and I left the Green/Blue and the Slate Blue at home and am kicking myself for it.  Would have been a great night to throw those.

I will be out of town for the next week, but hopefully next weekend I can get some videos made up comparing the balls.

Thanks guys!

Did you put some compound polish on the ogre solid? It looks a bit shinner than oob but it's still pretty dull with the compound.

We brought the Ogre up to 1000 abralon with no polish.

Looks like you should have most lane condition covered. The Frankie May drilled that way will cover most heavy oil condition next would be the ogre solid,med-heavy, then ogre pearl, mediums, then g/b centaur med-lights, slate blue, light-dry.

That was the exact reason I went with these balls and so far (only a couple weeks) it seem to be holding true

The only hole I can possibly see is a reactive pearl to open up the lane on med-light to light oil, possibly a g-3 gryphon if you like strong symetrical core or the new b/s orgre if you like the ogre core.

We seem to be thinking exactly alike.  I was going to wait for the Blue/Silver and then make a decision on what else to buy (to my wifes chagrin)

I noticed how much these balls drive through the pocket.  Last night with the Blurple Pearl Orge I left two 4-9s and two solid 9 pins.  These balls make a move and bury the pocket.  I started throwing it a bit light to get better carry and it worked.
