My Raven is giving me pretty much the same reaction as Matt shows in the clip. It is strong. I'm having too much fun throwing it even though I should be throwing something weaker.

Watched the vids of the Warlock Pearl and Samurai.  All hook similar amount depending on where the ball is put out, but it's the manner in which the Raven just takes off.  It's like watching a race and one guy leaving before the starting gun.  BAM.....left turn!!

Gonna be real interesting to say the least!! Love the looks of the new ball and logo as well.

I tried to for lack of better words to "spray" my shots so i covered a wide area of reactions.  From way outside to tighter inside.

Looking at a ball hitting the same mark over and over to me does not show its versatility.

That and I am just that inaccurate on a day to day basis  ;D  They wanted every day bowlers for these vids and they got em!!!

Watched a couple guys throw them in league a week ago both dull and shiny. For a Visionary ball it was impressive. Angular and forgiving; credit where credit is due.

My only thought was, why isn't it black? I have never seen a silver and maroon raven.

Probably not the reason... But years back Quantum had a jet black ball named the Raven. Smooth as butter but in true Quantum form had no name branded on the ball.

Sorry Matt, didn't mean to make you feel you had to defend.  My point to what I said was that I watched the other vids to get a good impression of how the ball looked on the one Raven shot.  You actually had a couple good shots where the ball rolled close to the Raven shot, so you could see how much different of a backend reaction you got out of the ball!!

When I've done vids, and mine were nowhere near the quality and time you put in...I would try to do the same thing so people saw what a down and in shot looked like, or a bellyhook, or something bigger.

My biggest problem will be in getting one into the house so that no one sees it!!   :o

Just curious as to the number of Visionary balls you've seen thrown in league...few...many??

I have been throwing VBP for the last 7 to 8 years and have had many of their releases.  There were some that I didn't get a chance to throw as I've slowed down in terms of league bowling and all, but there have been very few VBP balls I've had issues with in terms of overall performance.  Most of them have all rolled well for me, especially the pearls.

As for the black Raven, while I would agree in general, however as a ball maker, I think people have seen that a simple black ball doesn't seem to generate the same interest from the average 'Joe Bowler' that a multi-colored ball does.  And proof was in the pudding when I bowled couple weeks ago against some guys where 2 of them owned a pro shop and when I put my Warlock pearl up on the rack, one of them came over and asked what was the ball.  The last 2 times I shot against them I shot 720+ and 660+.  I would attribute the question because of the shooting and because of the looks of the ball.

I think the fact is....the color combinations go a long way into making a sale to the average bowler.  Me personally, I'll take a cool looking ball over a black ball any day of the week.

I see a few here and there but they are mostly older balls like the ogre.

The Raven has turned a few heads for sure.

The video is progressing slowly, when you coach 2 baseball teams, bowl 4 leagues and have a wife, time seems to be taken up rather quickly.

No league tonight, no baseball so I am hoping i can get it done tonight

No offense taken Sir!!  Just explaining what I try to accomplish.  Funny part is I really dont have to try to get various angles.  I truly am that inconsistent!

Part of it is my wrist.  Switching to a semi sarge grip has helped, but my right ankle kills me most nights also.  I broke my right leg about 5 years ago, and prob. messed up the ankle too.  I dont think they took a good enough look at it at the time and now its pain every day.  Some nights that drive step is just killer, and it takes 2 games for the liquid meds to kick in :)
