Best Visionary Ball for Axis Leverage House Shot

All,

After reading BrianN's post on axis leaverage drilling here and in Layout/Drilling...I got to thinking about using an axis/leverage drilling for a wet/dry house shot.  

What's the best ball in the Visionary line for this type of control drilling for a usual house shot?

The Crimson Executioner or the Blue Gryphon are the best, probably, for what you want, but the cover will rule and on wet/drys, neither of them will hook if you pull it inside on a "wet". Their covers are just not powerful/agreesive  enough. I had a Crimson Executioner and this past Wednesday I saw a guy, with good revs, trying that with a Blue Gryphon on a wet/dry. He was tearing his hair out trying to make it come back, without going out to the bone dry outsides.

You'd be better off polishing a Granite Gargoyle or using a Charcoal Executioner with a 10:30 type of drilling or a 4x2.5 for playing a true wet/dry.

I would second the charcoal ex. That is the ball I'm looking to set up 4x0 or 3-3/8 x 0.

I've got a Granite but it's 3 3/8" x 3 3/8".  I'll try a high polish and see what I think about using it on a wet/dry.  It should have enough recovery more than a axis non-flare drilling.  

All of my stuff is basically set up higher flare just thinking about trying something else for a house shot.

On a house shot, this may be far too strong a drilling. This is not a mild ball ... If you must do this ball this way, be ready to try a little polish, esp. with your delivery specs. Of course, maybe your house conditons will allow this. I'd love to hear how it goes (& if my guess is correct ...).

My house shot is wet dry and the high scores are being shot by low rev no handers.

I was recently  enlighten on my game with some good coaching. My game is in a little flux, were I have picked up speed, maybe in the 19-20 mph and revs have gone down a few.

I more of a stroker now with just a little more ball. I have to recheck my pap.

but right now I could use a stronger ball because all my equipment is getting too long and I have cut about 10 boards of hook off my ball.

My coach say that first we will work on getting my swing free then we will get more hook back. I'm not sure I want more hook than I have right now. with todays balls I'm finding easier to control the lane than crossing 20 out to 5 everywhere I go.

 since every ball is stronger than the last, I don't think I will ever see enough oil to shut down today's balls.

I drilling 2 balls up for this house. so far the shot has beed very wet/dry 10-10 pattern tophat 38-40' and held up for 3 games and the other has broken down after warm ups. depends on the weather at this old 1/3 synthetic-2/3 wood lane house.

SO I going with a strong rolling reactive and a light load particle. My fall back ball is My diesel pearl particle. on the broken down shot I beat everyone by 50 pins on the series, but that fresh wet/dry killed me. 170's every game.

There seams to be a lot of interest in this layout and I will report my findings with this drilling.

I'll try my Granite with Scotch Brite to 1000 and Control-It applied to a good shine and see how it goes.

I have a Red Sorcerer that is drilled 3x5 if oil gets pushed right in box condition that will recover.
