Hey everyone,
I was very lucky in that my pro shop guy found me a NIB 16lb Scorcher! Now I just have to hope that it's the midnight, and not the NPT. Oh well, I'll find out Tuesday. Going on the assumption that it is the Midnight Scorcher that will be arriving, what drilling would you guys suggest for flooded conditions? Obviously I'll want the ball to get rolling nice and early and to just arc toward the hole as much as it can down the lane. I'm sure that my driller will know what to do, but I'd like to hear some input from guys who have thrown the ball as well. Thanks for the info.

Hmmm, no one else has answered yet. I dont have mine in front of me, but I know it has thumb-weight and I think it was drilled up as label leverage. The pin is just to the right of the ring finger. Thought finger weight would delay the roll, so went with thumb-weight instead on that one.

Hey Gene,
Did he say if it was black or purple?
My midnight is drilled Stacked leverage.
I haven't found enough oil to really use it yet.
I tried it once last year at nationals, but it was rolling out on me.
I eneded up using my charcoal executioner on that shot.
I'm thinking about talking to the alley one day and seeing if I can rent
a pair for a day, and have them put down a few shots.

Forgot to add:
If I were to drill a new one up again, I think I would try a CG Out drilling, like a 4x3 or 4x2 with thumb weight because that type of drilling seems to work well for me.

If it is black, it is a Midnight Scorcher. If it is blue, it is an NPT Scorcher.

Gene, which ball did you end up with? If it was the Midnight, have you had the opportunity to try it yet?

Hey gene I must of missed this when you first posted it. I would base my decesion off of what you are wanting it for and that is smooth early arc and that would be a cg out arc drilling with the cg below and inside of your midline and val. Mine is drilled pin 4" to pap x 1" below ring with cg/core in a 20 degree position with a 1/4 negative side. This ball is early and smooth. But make your best guess as to what will work for your game.
