I have one, got it from ebay drilled rico. The cover is weird, it feels like plastic to the touch. Rolls as soon as I put it down, big banana arc no jump or fast movement. I want to try one with a normal drill as oil doesnt seem to effect the ball too much, I dont line up too good with this type of reaction either. Strange ball for sure.

Going from memory, it is supposed to be an arcing type reaction ball.  Think of a stronger version of a Blue Hammer.

You can view the data on the ball from the Visionary website.

Scorcher NPT.

its a high differential, 320 grit sanded PARTICLE Urethane. so its one rolly mamma jamma.  and dont even think about using it on dry lanes.

I believe NPT stands for Non-Particle Technology.  Will act like a particle ball but without the particles, thus the arcing reaction of the ball.

Edited to add:

And from the Visionary website on the data sheet, it is a 1000 grit polished ball.

I think you're talking about the Scorcher, a black ball,
http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=117,
not the Scorcher-NPT, a blue ball,
http://www.bowlingballreviews.com/ball.asp?ballid=118.

I had one traded it to mr. twister.  Got it from roystriker.

Hard cover to change smooth motion and like the Orange Warlock does not like carry down.  On even conditions not conditions with large volumes it does very well.  Very even reacting like urethane.
