Spartan and Solid Gladiator
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:48:37 AM »
Hello,

For those of you who have both the Spartan and Solid Glad, how close in reaction are they if drilled/prepped similar? Does anyone think there is enough difference in the covers to warrant having both in an arsenal? Finally, after watching some Spartan vid, is there ANY particle in the cover? I watched a couple of vids and the tractiont he ball has in oil reminds me of the low load particle balls, ie HPD, Contact Zone, Imperial Quantum, etc...

Any thoughts would be great!

They are close in reaction, however i see a stronger more continues arc from the Spartan. I dont think it has any particles in the cover , but i have noticed that the cover seems to repel oil instead of picking it up. It dosnt seem to soak it up at all.

I have both of mine drilled the same with the same surface. The Spartan is about 4-6 boards stronger depending where you play, your backends & your stats.

4-6 boards is a lot when the cores are the same. A way stronger cover that repels or appears to repel the oil....hmmm.

I appreciate your comments!!!!!

Maybe Jason can chime in if he still reads the boards.

I didn't find that much difference 2 - 3 boards.   Here are the way the two balls are laid out same surface 2000 ab.

Thanks again.

Do you see enough difference between the two to warrant carrying both? Would you ever see a reason to carry both with such similar characteristics?
