Burgundy Particle Gryphon
« on: January 23, 2011, 02:34:34 AM »
Does anyone still use this ball? I have 2 and both are quite possibly the hardest hitting Visionary balls in my arsenal. Visionary has made some of the strongest heavy-oil balls to date- Midnight Scorcher, AMB Centaur Particle, Burgundy Particle Gryphon, etc. Had all three at one time or another, and while the MS and AMB particle were great on a flood, that's about all they could be used on. The BPG is much more versatile and is not limited to flood conditions only. Just curious if anyone still uses this ball. A very underrated piece that you don't hear much about, even among fellow Visionaries...

While I no longer use this ball, I know exactly what you mean. When I was still using 15lb stuff, I had one with some polish on it that was about my most versatile piece.

I used it on many different conditions, and it always seemed to respond well to surface changes.

 A real good piece.

I used one for a long time but then my four ball roller containing it, a Glowing Amulet, Uranium pearl, and another ball was stolen.

I liked the Blue Sparkle and the Burgundy Gryphons a lot but the G-3, not so much.

Those two were very hard hitting, great carrying balls that covered a wide array of conditions for me.  My Burgundy was more for fresh true medium oil and I used the Scorcher for heavier stuff.

If I could find one cheap and a house that oils the lanes I'd buy it.

I preferred the Gryphon line to any others that VBP has produced.   Matched up with them all.  Blue Sparkle, G-3, Burgundy, FMG.
