Gladiator Solid !
« on: November 05, 2008, 02:11:14 AM »
I decided to bring out my GS last night, I havent used it very much , before league i took the finish up to 4000 abralon, no polish.

First game, flush 9 pin, then sheet. nice 290
2nd game started with front 7 then my line went away and i did move fast enough finished with 242 , last game killed me they got so burnt, still shot nice 720.

I am very pleased how the GS reacted to 4000 abralon, I will be keeping this ball in bag instead of my closet.

Good rollin'!!!

One of the better medium oil orbs out there IMO.

Wondered why you didn't switch to Glad Pearl or Ogre Pearl when lanes/heads broke down and transitioned????

Interesting....I find that I can pick up my Ogre Pearl and start right in where I left off with the Solid.  Very rarely move my feet or line back into the dirt.  May have to project out and around carry down if a lot is present.

They make a good 1-2 combo!

g-thang,

I like the Solid Glad better than the Ogre Solid.  So, right now I am using Solid Glad then the Ogre Pearl...ya know sometimes when you switch balls you have to guess or fish a lil not with these two on the THS conditions around here.

That I would probably agree with in terms of the Solids, though I have yet to throw the Ogre Solid.

I think you are like me though in that you know what the equipment is going to do on the shot and can pull anything out without having to guess.  'Course, that sometimes changes in the travel league where the shot moves fast at times and you do end up fishing for a little.

Has anyone tried a Rico drill on their Gladiator, and if so, how did you like it? My driller suggested a Rico drill on my Gladiator, but I've never tried that drill as I'm a very high tracker and I'm afraid of clipping the thumb and fingers. I'm thinking of drilling it pin under ring, cg swung out, surface at 1000 abralon for my first shift Friday league. We usually see a good amount of oil on this shift. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks,

Spike
