A shame these are being discontinued and a a shame I didn't figure out how to utilize this piece sooner.

I got this ball almost 2 seasons ago and have had a love/hate relationship with it. Drilled it pin over ring and kicked the Cg a bit to town down backend, I had heard that they could be jumpy. I padded it with a gray scotch brite to even it out as well. Charlest had told me not to be afraid of drilling it stronger and I should have listened more carefully.

It hasn't gotten out of the bag much this year but since the season is almost over and my team is nowhere to be found in the standings, I decided to give it a try.

I was able to play a little farther right than normal. My issues with the GG have been over/under. I may still need to lower the grit on it. It lopes through the heads so easily for me that I sometimes overshoot the breakpoint. I have had a bunch of 9 strike-3 open (split)games with it.

Opened the series with a 224, two splits. Was just about to put it away then decided to move in a bit with some more rotation. The way the white gargoyle emblem rotates around the ball lets me know if it is checking up too soon or not early enough. It is actually a good tool for reading the lanes.

The move in worked wonders. I could tell that the ball was retaining energy longer and my misses were still in play. The GG is very strong off the dry boards. The hit was still very impressive from a deeper angle. Threw the next 22 out of 24 for two honor scores.

I am definitely going to take the cover down more to further dilute the breakpoint. I am going back a ways, but for the older set, this ball really reminds me of the old Wine U-dots. Very long and it wanting to stand up on the backends.

If you are looking for easy length and strong hit, this is a great ball if you can still find it.
