Hi all,
Have just joined the visionary test staff progam through my aussie distributor and have received my AMB Solid & B/G Centaur, hope to get them drilled this week. I'm looking forward to contributing to the 'Visionary Community' as a whole.
thanks

how to get them drilled - the B/G centaur will be drilled as close as possible to a setup given to me by Scott:
Layout 5 1/2 x 4 1/2
Pin above fingers centered above bridge
CG kicked right 1 1/2"s from grip center on horiz. center line
X hole 5/8" diam. 3" deep on VAL 1" below horiz. center line
Polished as high as I can get it. This should let me play the dry track area.
The AMB Solid - I'm not sure, I want the ball to be used for heavy oil and to arc. So I'm thinking (going from the sheet here) - Pin C position with mass bias in position 1, or (depending on what my new driller recommends) Pin position D with mass bias in position 1 or 2.
Any other thoughts would be most welcome.

Blindstag,
They sound like good choices...the funny thing is, is with the layouts you have chosen, I would reverse them....I would take the layout you were going to place on the B/G and put that one on the SOLID and the layout you were going to put on the SOLID put on the B/G.
My suggestions would be the following:
B/G - 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 (4 1/2 pin to PAP) (5 1/2 CG to PAP)
Let the pin fall wherever, adjust if desired to not drill through pin unless you are comfortable doing so.
SOLID - 4 x 3 (4 pin to PAP) (3 CG to PAP)
Let the pin fall wherever, adjust if desired to not drill through pin unless you are comfortable doing so.
Modify the covers on each to get desired reaction...because of the pin being in a little stronger position on the B/G, polishing it will probably be necessary to play on the drier condition but should maintain a little more energy and less likely to roll out on you.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks steve,
I am going to a new driller, my old one retired. So he wants to watch me bowl etc, to see what he thinks should be done. I will make the suggestion to him and see what he says.

well i have my g3 drilled the exact same as my violet garg and it goes about 5 feet longer but jumps alot harder no matter how the oil is except heavy cause neither balls move to good in that but for the average house/medium oil shots that some houses might use for tournaments i ussually use it when my violet garg is hooking to early and just move left a couple boards and swing it
