The MASS BIAS in the Blue/Green Centaur
« on: August 17, 2009, 02:41:03 AM »
Is the little 1/8" MB marker just PLUG material that was used to fill in the hole where the MB is located? Meaning did Visionary just drill a hole there and fill it up with PLUG to signify the MB? Or is it something else?

I may have to drill through the MB and was just wondering what exactly the material is?

Thanks!

Its a secondary pin, in can be drilled out. It actually even states it in the drill sheet to do so if needed/wanted.

I drilled the one out in the ball I had, at least partially anyway.  It fell out, but I use thumbsleeves anyway, so it just looked a little like a vent hole.

Shot a couple of good sets with that ball, including a 793 (dang tenpin), before I got rid of it, and the guy who bought it from me is still using it.

Hi Ric,

I responded via PM, but figure I should go ahead and post it here as well.  The locator pin that you see in the G/B, AMB Centaurs, and Immortals are actually polycarbonate rods that are placed directly in the center of the side cap.  It extends all the way to the surface of the ball, so that people know exactly where the center of the cap is.
