Since this is Visionary's forum, I assume you worried about their characteristics rather than Storm's. Vis has balls to cover the entire spectrum of oil patterns. Their balls last longer than all except Lanemasters. Their balls, like many others, hit very hard, when used on the right conditions. Their only "fault", if your ego can stand it, is they rarely have balls that will hook coast to coast so you can impress everyone else. They just seem to work if you line up correctly.
They also do not have/market balls that are identical to a previous one except that the surface is different. Most of their surface, (in fact, all now that I think of it) are very easy to modify. The Ogre series is a good example. The solid (AKA the Pumpkin) comes 600 grit US dull. It is usable at every grit level up to P4000 grit Abralon and with polish on every level of grit. I am hardly exaggerating when I say, you could have 4 Pumpkins and cover every house shot, except bone dry. This despite the Ogre Solid having an RG differential of only .031".
When you add the Ogre Pearl ("The Burple"), the Ogre SS and the Ogre Urethane, you have an arsenal without any surface changes. And this is just an example.
