I posted this last night and it disappeared for no reason whatsoever, so here's a repost...

Just bought a used Banger Hole Finder Pearl, which I'm told is a Visionary remake of some kind. All I know is that Visionary poured it.

I also had a great series with the ball, and which follows very positive experiences with an AMB Bronze Centaur, Slate Blue Gargoyle, Granite Gargoyle, Red Sorcerer, Blue Sparkle Gryphon, etc., etc. I've never had a bad or even mediocre experience out of Visionary, so even though I don't really need any more equipment I am always open to trying something.

My questions are this:

1) If the Banger Hole Finder Pearl is really a remake/update of a Visionary ball, which one was it?

2) Which company (Bayer, BASF, etc.) supplies Visionary with its resins (relevant to me since it helps me set up arsenals)?

3) What would you say the general direction of Visionary's releases are going, particularly in the pearl lines and the non-particle solids? Towards the rolly, or the angular?

Not sure. I think the precedecessor, the Hole Pounder Pearl was based on the Blue Sparkle. (doesn't help much,but I see nothing like itscombo of cover, core, RG and differential in the Visionary history)

I thought they had their own chemist, but I don't know where they get their resins from.

They are, in my opinion, creating arsenals, not following/creatng one line of ball reactions. Their most recent balls: The Gladiators were very much control balls, while the newer New Breeds are very much skid/flip balls.

This has been their history: they give you something for every condition.

More importantly, they don't discontinue a good workign ball. The Blue/Green Centaur has been around since around 2000. It is still available new. I only hope the Ogre line stays around as long.
