Well, RIP to my Too Hot which cracked in half this evening.
I don't feel like hunting for another one since it took me forever and a day to get that one; so which ball would be close?
I had my Too Hot drilled pin over middle finger with the CG under the ring finger. This ball didn't move a lot and rolled like urethane where as I couldn't really swing it much. It was very smooth and ultra controllable rolling down the lane.
I am leaning towards the Ogre Urethane possibly drilled strong? I didn't like the Slate Blue Gargoyle at all unless I was bowling on the Great Wall of China so that's out. Maybe a (another, hated the first) Centaur drilled a different way than label? Is it mandatory to drill it a specific way or can I just put any layout I want on it?

What did you not like about the B/G Centaur? Remember that the ball had no flare to it so you may need to drill it stronger. That ball is very good because it relies more on cover tweaks for adjustments than anything. I did a 4 1/2 stacked and it rolls extremely well on shorter and lighter patterns.

At OOB with the label drill it was too strong for the spot I needed it in my line up. It may hardly flare but it still was pretty responsive to friction and while I have only above average revs my rotation allowed it to finish harder than it should.
At 4000 it wouldn't turn the corner if I ran down the lane and kicked it. I never tried it at 2000 because that's already close to 800...so I gave it to my friend who didn't like it either.
Since it appears you went with a strong layout and you have high RPMs you are more than likely right I should try a stronger layout too and adjust the surface to fit that.

Remember that with a label drill, you are making the ball roll sooner and the backend smoother. I think if you put the pin above the ring finger and the cg slightly outside the ring and a small weight hole if needed, you will be in good shape. This ball is not a super hooker. It HAS TO HAVE friction on the backend to move. Carry down is no bueno.

Sounds good, sounds like what I was tinkering around in my head.
Thanks Steve

Want this one Anthony? It's a 15 and I think you use 16's but you can have it cheap.

Same ball...pin over bridge and black locator pin you can see on first pic. I put a SwitchGrip thumb in it why it looks different.
