Title: Violet Gargoyle

I don't see any reviews for the ball but when I saw it at a demo day for a local supplier, I liked the looks of the ball.

Anybody out there tried one???

Just got mine used it tonight. First set out of box 652 bowled second shift 729. For me it was a very smooth transition ball. Had a really nice controlled break point. It seemed like it was a ball that does not like to be kept tight it had to be set free. When I pulled it in it slid but let the ball roll out and come back in it was awsome. Reminded a lot like the EMB for thos who liked that kept pins low instead of tossing in the air. First ball from Visionary and maybe the first of many. Will post a better review in the review section here in a few days.

Why do you say skiddish Dude?  How is yours layed out and cover is still factory or shined to what?

Left the cover as it came, and my higher speed makes alot of balls skid for me. I'm also bowling on Brunswick Prolane Synthetics so they are very slick. I'm sure on AMF or wood the reaction would be better. but for me most of the time i need something with more surface.

Could you be so kind as to let me know layout you have on the ball?  What is your axis and how far is the pin from your axis?

My axis point now is 3 1/2( it's low i realize that lol), and my axis tilt is about 10 degrees, my axis of rotation is 60degrees.

i placed my pin 3 inches from my axis, and my cg 2 inches.

usually this drilling on dull balls makes them roll early for me and be more mellow in the backend, but on shiney balls usually it makes them nice and strong.

Tim,

Could I suggest moving the pin under your ring finger and shifting the cg more toward the center of your grip.

Already is under my ring finger,

but typically i kick the cg out,
when i keep the cg inwards recovery is reduced and lol i need all the help i can get sometimes.

And this post actually made me take the ball back off my tree and use it again today, slides less than it did originally. but it still is not the best choice for the brunswick proanvil and prodigy oil.

You may want to try and hit it with a reactive cleaner or maybe even touch it lightly with a grey scotch brite.

Dude....any chance you'd be looking to let another fellow BR guy give the ball a whirl? I am really interested in this ball but am lacking the funding to flat out buy a new one.

Saw this ball today, didn't really get a chance to see it work, but I could have sworn it was a 3D Offset Blazing Violet.  Same color!  Didn't see any phasing on it either, just a solid, blazing violet color.

I got mine last week and drilled it Monday used it last night in last game.  105 deg. layout.....to soon to tell.  I do like what I see so far and great hit and carry.  

Same color as 3D offset BV.  There is phasing in it.  Phasing may differ from ball to ball.
