I just picked up the Particle with nice results. It is pretty strong at the OOB 1000 surface, I actually added a light coat of polish to it and it still reads the midlane very well. Not a ball you can wheel, at least I have not had success trying. What I like best about it is it evens out the reaction when other balls are either jumping off the spot or fighting the carrydown. A nice ball when the conditions are right to just pick a repeatable line and watch the ball do all the work

I drilled mine exactly like my SS, pin over ring finger and a slight swing of the cg. Unless you really bowl on WET conditions or have very firm speed, you may want to keep the pin up to try and get some length.

It's a really nice ball, enjoy it and bowl well. I am sure a few of the guys here can help you out with the BGC.

Since tekneek is your driller I'd go with his suggestions.  He knows your style/technique and the lane conditions you mainly bowl on.

I see you have a lot of heavy hookin' stuff.  Dynamo, Buzzbomb, Rattler.  The two you chose are more straighter up the boards type pieces at least for most.  Both balls have a controlled type ball reaction in the backend not big snapping backend pieces.

I'm with Krumpy lil non-abrasive polish over the OOB surface makes the Ogre Particle scoot enough thru heads/retains energy and rolls very predictably with a nice backend roll into the pocket.  Evens out over reacting side to side and backend.  Many see lots of trip 4's with the Ogre Particle.

I agree, the B/G is not a big hooker at all but yet it's still pretty strong. I like mine at white pad. Check my thread in this forum for pics of both.

I kinda like the ogre particle but it burns out alot for me at box. I have yet to try polish on it. May try it with a light coat of snake oil on it...

I used Legends polish by hand and careful use of spinner because it is easier to use smaller amounts and get desired effect.  Next would be Snake Oil it shines up faster for me on spinner than Legends and last would be Beans.

Ok, to get clarification on your post Scott, you are saying that it would be better to do it by hand rather then with a spinner?

I used the LM polish as well per Scott's suggestion. It made sense since LM has a lot of particle balls in their line.

Matt,

It depends how much shine you want on the Ogre Particle.  I didn't want mine to shine up that much.  So, I used a dab on two sides worked it around by hand and used my spinner and spplied even pressure but did NOT burn it in.  I do th same with my Yeak Baby and NS2 in the past and that seems to have the desired effect.  Since, it's non-abrasive polish that seems to work best for me.

Let us know how yours works afterwards.  You have more ball speed than I.

On a medium-heavy THS wall I use it to even out the side to side over/under and the backend snap on the fresh.  Last night used it 2 games on that kind of lane condition.  Slid 21....9 at the srrows 7 breakpoint every even trajectory.  All high hits where you'd think you'd be going thru the face with another ball and leaving ugly splits were either flush or trip 4's.

Scott,

Ok I'm gonna try that way. I'm going to use the snake oil first and check with my friend who I bowl with on friday as I think he may still have the legends polish left. I also have Powerhouse factory finish, powerhouse/ebonite particle polish at my disposal too...

sluggo35--Make sure the black locator pin on the B/G is somewhere close to your thumb.  I like a pin even or slightly above and right of ring w/ CG mid grip and black locator pin left of thumb in track.  Basic label drilling.  See what Steve says.

I am a mid tracker and the B/G will track slightly higher than some stronger balls on the market.
