I have not heard anything negetive about Visionary covers, they take cover adjustments very fine !!! No problems of cover death that I'm aware of.

I drilled the ball 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 pin 3 inches above midline, balance hole is 1" down from my pap on the val, ball seems to roll real true and revs up nice in the backend.

Visionary is known for their cover durability...second to none if you ask me, of course as with all balls you still must clean and maintain the surface....

I have always tried to take good care of the coverstock....with the ebonite covers it doesn't seem to matter,50 games or so,kaput.

I love their covers.  I have had my Green Gargoyle since 2000 (probably have 2000+ games on it and it still rolls and hits like I had it brand new.  I have never had any resurface jobs to it.  I do general maintenance (clean every 9 games with a cleaner and then only hit it with sandpaper or abralon every 20-30 games just to freshen the surface of any oil or polish buildup to keep the entire cover uniform).  I have never had any major knicks or anything more than a stray scratch every once in a long while.  Their covers take to changes very well.

Visionary is in the mix with PK18, Activator, Lanemasters, Superflex, and Soaker.  Long, long lasting covers.  I know two guys who have used Visionary, one with a Green Gargoyle, one with an Executioner, both have had them for years and use them regularly.

I just had a Centaur Particle drilled Monday and am amazed at the cover's thickness.  It reminds me of looking at my many Faball balls and see the cover just go...and go....and go!!

I own both a FMG and SBG, both have been in constant use and I am also positively surprised how well both balls keep up. The SBG is, with its durable urethane cover, out of question - but mine has still its OOB shine on it and very few scratches at all. The FMG has also caught very few nicks, and it does not track out easily. I think I had the surface refreshed (not a resurfacing job, just some scuffing) to 2.000 grit Abralon only 2 times, and this rather as a precaution than a real necessity. And no loss of reaction in any way.

IMHO very durable pieces!
