Immortal Pearl or Solid?
« on: March 20, 2008, 03:59:13 AM »
Which one do you like better? I was thinking of getting one as it will be discontinued...
Are there much difference in the two balls?

For me the Immortal Solid is the better ball, i like a more controlled look, and the immortal solid is all about that, very useable on a ton of shots...the pearl was OK, a little condition specific, if i got it on the wrong shot i never knew what it was going to do at the breakpoint, BUT if i got lined up and matched it up with the right shot i have never had so much room for error, very strong at the breakpoint

Whatever you do, because of the High Diff/Flare Potential do not drill them too strong...to many people have gotten them drilled 4x4 or 3.5x3.5 and the ball has lost all its energy at the arrows...

For you being a 155 avg bowler i would suggest either an immortal solid or even an Ogre Solid...you dont want anything to be erratic for you..

I would have to agree with Britton.  I like the smooth predictable roll of the Immortal Solid.  It gives me a nice smooth midlane roll with plenty left for the backend.

For me it was just the Pearl i like better then the solid, the solid just wasnt predictable enough. I tried differnt drillings as well. and nothing i tried worked as well as the pearl.

Depends on your technqiue and lane condition.  What may work for someone else may not work for you and vicea versa.  There is NO for sure in ball choice/set up but generalities can be made.

They are already 'discontinued' in the sense that they are no longer being manufactured.  When the present inventory is exhausted, there will be no more available from Visionary.

A "155" average ????

I'm thinking, spend the money on lessons first and practice games second.

A special ball like the Immortals can be difficult to drill and use for most 200 average bowlers. It could be a complete waste of money.
