Frankie May Signature ball
« on: March 23, 2005, 02:58:12 AM »
Hey Visionary gang---The new Frankie May Gryphon is posted on Visionary's website now.  Any thoughts on how this will compare to the late Burgandy Gryphon (still have mine)

It looks to me like there's a little more length and more back end (despite the lower RG) since it's reactive vs high load particle. Also, appears it's designed to be much more versatile.

sounds a lot like the new activator covers/monsoon coverstocks, what lucky lefty calls non particle particles.

Pure speculation based on the description of the ball. You're closer to visionary than i am, so you'd know better about the composition and such than i would.

We live in a world where we are allowed to speak freely, but alot of times it's speculation that causes opinion before the facts are stated.

Aud - to answer your questions, I've not punched mine up yet as I'm waiting to have Frankie lay it out for me when I get to Baton Rouge.  In response to the extreme oil.....let's put it this way, it's 400 matte out of box with a Gryphon II core, it will take a great deal to stop this ball from moving!
