This is now my first ball out of the bag.  Definitely one of my favorites now.  I took the ball up to 2000 with Rough Buff over the top.  This ball is strong overall and yet so smooth.  I can use it a the 2 different centers I bowl at and though completely different conditions, I can use this ball from any part of the lane.  The hitting power is as good as any ball I have used and the carry is phenomenal.  Glad I found this gem when I did.  

With the flare potential of this ball, I wonder how the new balls (New Breed Solid, Ogre Solid, and Gladiator Solid) will compare.

which one of these do you have cause i have the purple on and i love mine at the right house best dull ball i have right now i also can't wait to see how the new breeds will work for me from what i have seen these balls hit like nothing i have ever seen before! They are freaking freight trains and pins look like aluminum cans!! Can't wait to become part of Visionary Test Staff!!

I actually have both the Pink solid and the Purple pearl.  It was the pink DC Tour that I am refferring to.  What I like most about the ball, is that I can play on tighter conditions up the track area or move deeper in the lane and play a 25 at the arrows out to 5-6-7 at the breakpoint and it loses absolutely nothing as far as hit and carry. My carry percentage does not drop as I get deeper.  Usually, with most balls, as I move deeper, I have to slow my ball speed to create the right angle of entry to carry corner pins.  I do not have to do that with this ball at the current surface.  LOVE IT!!!!

We had the same issue with the DCs.  My first DC was a pearl I got off a friend of mine and it had a label drilling similar to what you had on yours.  The pin was next to the ring ringer, cg center grip, MB left of the thumb hole.  I could not carry the corners at all because of the "layoff" in the backend.  I knew it was simply due to the layout and nothing more.  

Had to remember something.  There is already alot of flare built into these balls. Therefore, when I got my new ones, I made sure to put the pin farther away from the PAP to help conserve some energy for the backend.  That is one of the issues with alot of VBP users with the high flaring stuff.  They put the pins too close to the PAP and then the ball rolls bad and they hate the ball.  With my new DCs, I put the pins at least 5 1/2 from PAP but made sure to use cover prep and MB placement to determine ball reaction and continuation.  With my pink DC, I did not like it at first at box finish.  I took it to 2000 and Rough Buff and now the ball rolls like Jesus.  EVERYONE literally wants to know what the pink ball is I am tossing down the lane.  I believe that with a different layout, you would have liked the ball much better than you did.
