Visionary products!
« on: February 22, 2007, 09:56:51 AM »
Hello all,

I have been around some, but not able to post much due to time constraints, etc. However, with the closing of my shop, I resigned from MoRich and thus decided to look at any equipment I wanted to. I had never thrown or even drilled a Visionary ball before, but the Slate Blue caught my eye due to its urethane cover and real core. Well...from there, I have since added the rest of the Gargoyles, the Ogre, and the Blue/Green Centaur. All of them are great pieces and if you have any questions for me in comparison to another brand, let m eknow and I will help you out as much as I can. Due to me throwiong lefty full time now due to my right arm bicep tendon rupture, I may not be able to give GREAT side by side comparisons, but I still know ball motion and ball characteristics.

Have a good one!

WHOA... did you just say you closed your shop? I must have missed something.
I always felt through my readings here that you are one of the guys who really got it and are making positive change in this sport that we love.
I'm sure you'll love Visionary.

Yep....over to Vis....

As for the shop...too many expenses, not enough profit margin. Not a good combo!

I think you'll like Vis a lot Clint.  I've been using them since late 90's.  Lots of interesting equipment over the years but never has flooded the market w/ balls that didn't have a niche.

Clint,

Visionary is a great company.  If you liked some of the Gargoyles and the Green/Blue Centaur, try to pick up a Blue Sparkle Gryphon, a great control ball.

Like Scott, I have been using Visionary for quite some time.  I think I bought some Tracks from you when you were selling those.  If you run across a Ravage, please let me know.

Hey Clint, how's it going bud?

Since all of the shakeup with Track, I've been looking at other ball companies. Visionary has caught my eye and I'm thinking about picking up a piece or two. Not sure what ball(s) to look at yet, but I am under the impression that they are all great pieces.

Now, tell me something, it is known that Track produces balls with high hook potential. I have heard that Visionary balls are not designed to be hook monsters. Is this true? I'd really like to pick up a ball or two that are a bit more mellow than most of what I have.

Rock, not sure about all of thier equipment.  However, I recenly got an Immortal Solid.  I would not look at that one if you are looking for something tamer.  That ball moves hard, but that is what I needed.  I will certainly look there agian when I need a ball though.  Also I emailed them about laying the ball out and revieved great customer service from the guys there.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, Clint notified me of the Immortal Solid and there is a video on buddiesproshop.com. That ball does move, but it also has a much higher differential and more flare potential than their other stuff. I think I'm going to start with an Ogre and hopefully try to find a Slate Blue Gargoyle as well.

If you want a great versatile ball, pick up a frankie may. I picked one up used on here and it is one of the best balls I have ever thrown. I finished mine off with 1000 abralon. the ball gets through the heads and makes a strong controlled arc to the pockets. hit is as good, no better than any other visionary ball I have owned.

Rock and I talked about this through PMs...and what we both like is you have a wide array of equipment from urethane to the Immortal Solid that looks like it could eat oil from 3 lanes away...

We both agree on the fact we can fill an arsenal with just a few balls...

Yeah, after doing a bit of research and reading, I think I am going to start out with an Ogre. It sounds like it is one heck of a control piece. I'm going to start with that then see what else I like. I may actually sell ALL of my Track stuff and use Visionary exclusively. We'll see though!!
